When ‘A Paw In The Door’ approached Ames Supply about the prospect of hosting a cart in their store, the manager was thrilled.  On April 26th, the store welcomed Smitty, a handsome black and white stray, to their new adoption cart.

What an amazing set-up they have there for the ‘Paw In The Door’ cats!!!!  During the day, they have a fabulous, high profile cart location where the cats receive tons of love and attention (from staff as well as customers.)  Right before closing each day, the Ames Supply staff carry the cats upstairs to what they call the “VIC room” (Very Important Cat Room.)  There the cats can relax, play, and unwind from a busy day on display.   What a wonderful place for cats who are awaiting a forever home!!!

As of this posting, FOUR  cats from A Paw In The Door’s adoption program have spent less than a week at Ames supply before being taken home by their new families.

Without these adoption carts, our cat rescue could not operate and we are very grateful to Ames Supply for all they have done.
