Here is a photo of beautiful Emma. She is a pink tabby cat that came into our house as a foster cat with a pink blanket, a pink bed and a pink comb. She is the sweetest and the easiest cat I have ever known. She has been with us for over a year now and is so happy to be here. She now needs a forever home with someone who is a calm, stay-home person. She is affectionate and will sit with you when you watch TV. She loves to snuggle in bed. She adores being combed and her favorite thing is eating. Unfortunately, she is a bit overweight but is healthy and just needs to have her food rationed carefully. She doesn’t like to be picked up and she would be happy with a retired couple or an older single person. She gets along very well with other cats but I have never seen her interact with dogs. She needs a forever home and lots of love and attention.

Big gorgeous Alex has found a wonderful home as an only cat–just what he always wanted! Thanks to our friends at The Wiscasset Newspaper and Ames Supply, Alex had the chance he needed to catch the eye of his new person.

He has been in the Paw foster program for several months, so we will miss him, but all of us at Paw are so glad that he found that special person who could see what a great cat he is.

Please consider a senior cat for your next adoption–they have so much love to give.

What an amazing set-up they have there for the ‘Paw In The Door’ cats!!!!  During the day, they have a fabulous, high profile cart location where the cats receive tons of love and attention (from staff as well as customers.)  Right before closing each day, the Ames Supply staff carry the cats upstairs to what they call the “VIC room” (Very Important Cat Room.)  There the cats can relax, play, and unwind from a busy day on display.   What a wonderful place for cats who are awaiting a forever home!!!

As of this posting, FOUR  cats from A Paw In The Door’s adoption program have spent less than a week at Ames supply before being taken home by their new families.

Without these adoption carts, our cat rescue could not operate and we are very grateful to Ames Supply for all they have done.
